Zurich’s Long Night of Museums

Who are we, and what shapes our identity?

Our identity is like a puzzle, constantly evolving through various experiences. Family, friends, school, different cultures, religions, traditions, personal values, and beliefs are all puzzle pieces that form our self-image.

Discover your identities through fabrics

Fabrics and textiles are more than just clothing; they express our personality and sense of belonging. The Johann Jacobs Museum and the Digital Museum of Learning invite you on an interactive journey to explore your identity.

Playfully discover your identities with fabrics and textiles from different cultures: from the vibrant fabrics of Africa and Scotland to school uniforms and beauty ideals from around the world.

A family-friendly exhibition

The child-friendly exhibition is a place where memories of different generations come together. An exciting and educational evening for the whole family! While children discover aspects of their identity, parents and grandparents can reminisce about their own childhood and share their knowledge with younger generations.

Please note: The exhibition is available in German only.

Workshop, refreshments and live music

During the Long Night, visitors can explore their own “fabrics of identity” in an open workshop or enjoy a drink, ice cream, or dinner while listening to live music in the garden lounge, overlooking Lake Zurich.

A perfect stop for refreshments, inspiring musical and creative moments on your journey through Zurich’s Long Night of Museums.
