How can learning experiences become impactful? We seek enthusiastic teachers and their school classes to participate in our user testing.

The Digital Museum of Learning is a global online museum dedicated to the history and future of learning, designed for teachers and children. Here's what makes it so unique:

  • Free digital access: We offer free digital access to fascinating artifacts and artworks from museums and cultural institutions worldwide.

  • Engaging stories: Our carefully curated online exhibitions and interactive stories promise joyful and meaningful learning experiences for children aged 7-12.

  • Customized teaching: Teachers can tailor learning journeys in the teacher zone to align with their curricula and meet the individual needs of their students.

Our first online exhibition, "Making the environment matter," delves into the world of environmental education, allowing children to explore topics like water and bird conservation.

Get involved and help us enhance the digital museum experience!

Registration

  • Sign up your school class online through the contact form or via contact@museumoflearning.org.

  • Testing with school classes will take place in December 23 and January 24.

User testing

Step 1: Preparation

Teachers can choose one of the two stories:

You will then receive the relevant lesson plan and a briefing from us before your session.

Step 2: Your Involvement

  • You will be asked to guide your students through the selected lesson plan using the Digital Museum of Learning website. This session should last approximately 1 hour.

  • There will be activities for the children to participate in, related to the chosen story, as well as questions to answer.

  • We will provide an online questionnaire to be completed at key stages of the lesson. Some questions will be aimed at the teacher and others will be a physical poll for the students.

Step 3: Evaluation and Recommendations

We will collect and review your feedback together with our partner Athlon, a global brand and product studio. Based on the collected data, we will enhance the digital museum experience.

Session requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 children, targeting 3rd to 5th grade (with flexibility in the grade selection), based in a German or English speaking country.

  • Children will require access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet connectivity. If you intend to use an Apple product, please ensure your devices run one of the three most recent iOS versions: iOS 15, 16, or 17. Ideally, there will be one child on a device. However, the sessions are possible with multiple children sharing a device.

  • The stories are available in German and English.

  • Teachers will require access to an online Typeform questionnaire. Check your ability to access this survey style using this link: https://athlon3.typeform.com/to/N3o2kPdR.

Your reward for participating

  • Museum Pass for 2024: As a participating teacher, you will receive a Museum Pass for the year 2024 for your country. This pass grants you access to a wide range of museums, providing opportunities for educational and cultural enrichment.

  • Priority Workshop Booking: Your school class will receive priority access to book a workshop session during the open week in June 2024 at the Johann Jacobs Museum in Zurich. This allows your students to enjoy an enriching learning experience featuring the exhibition "Making the environment matter."

Join us in this incredible journey to the future of museum education. Your feedback and classroom insights can truly make an impact!
